I'm Domonique Haasnoot, wanting to take my passion for ceramics seriously, I found myself in Florence for 5 months at Schola Academy learning different methods and techniques in the arera of ceramics. Gaining practical skills and hands-on training in wheel throwing, hand building, sculpture, slip casting, rendering as well as firing and glazing parameters.

Making functional art, its that simple. I try and listen not only to myself but to others, to the past, traditions and to nature. Wanting to create something I wish existed in this life.

I feel deeply connected to whats described as the "European way of life." You'll soon understand my personal flair for vintage, and my love for the Mediterranean. I am intrigued by art that follows function, traditions, and architecture of all the places I have visited and yet to visit. Here is a visual about me and all the things I love.
